Lori McKenna, CPDT-KA
Owner and Instructor

Lori is a 1986 graduate of and former trainer with the National Institute of Dog Training in California. She is a certified trainer, and a professional-level member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

Lori's education and experience in canine behavior and her love of working with dogs has led her to develop the Everyday Dog program, which helps to provide a common language between dogs and their owners. This process of increasing the bond between owners and dogs has saved many dogs from a sad, lonely life tied to a tree in the yard.

Lori shares her home with husband Craig, and four dogs:

Marianne started training dogs and owners professionally 8 years ago. She graduated from apprenticeships with Custom Pets in Enumclaw and Positive Approach Dog Training and Daycare in Tacoma and became a proud member of APDT. She has taught puppy classes, basic and upper level manners classes and agility. She earned her certification (Certified Professional Dog Trainer) from CCPDT in 2004. She greatly enjoys earning continuing education credits by attending seminars and workshops.

Marianne's focus has been on puppy development, socialization and canine language. She learned to evaluate behavior and safety by working in a doggie daycare for several years. She volunteered as an evaluator, foster home and hospice home for Golden Retriever rescue. Marianne draws on her passion by knowing that positive training keeps dogs out of shelters more than anything else.

Marianne shares her home with her husband, Larry, two cats and three dogs:
Jack, Golden Ret. mix, 10 yrs
Elwa, Pomeranian, Sheltie mix, 8 yrs
Gertie, Chihuahua terrier mix, 2 yrs

Ty
(1990-2002)

Griz

(1999-2007)

They brought sunshine where there had once been snow,
moonlight to chase away the darkness.
They gave to us gifts of love, and laughter, and joy,
and asked nothing in return.
We loved them.

Their journeys through our lives were all too brief,
and it hurt us when they left.
But we are better, somehow, for having shared our lives with them.

You are missed every day, my friends.
