Everyday Manners Private Training:

Text Box:
Griz and Lori
You and your family will work privately in your home with a professional dog trainer to learn how to train your dog and how to deal with minor behavior issues.  These programs are dog- and people-friendly.

Everyday Manners Package:

Three 1-hour sessions $125

In the Everyday Manners Package, we will cover basic manners: pay attention, polite greeting behavior, come when called, walk on leash, wait at doorways, and other behaviors that will help make your dog a great household companion.   This special package is prepaid; the fee is due on the first session.   So as not to loose momentum, the three sessions must be completed within a six-week period.

Everyday Manners:    Single Sessions  $55

Choose this option for help with one or two basic behaviors, or use it for one of these pre-structured sessions:

Is there a new dog in your home?  The New Dog Workshop will help you and your new addition get started right.  Your family will learn how to set and implement house rules, understand and overcome typical stress-related relocation problems, and teach the dog basic household manners.  This program is perfect for rescue dogs!

Take A Break!   Learn how to teach your dog self-control in exciting situations.  This workshop covers getting (and keeping!) your dog's attention, proper greeting behavior, management, and how to settle down on cue. Also includes simple management techniques for immediate control.

How about a private and fun introduction to agility?  Backyard Agility is a great way to teach your dog off-leash control, and is very useful to help fearful or timid dogs become more self-confident.  We will use a combination of portable agility equipment and agility-type obstacles that you can create from household objects.  Invite a friend and split the cost!  Group Backyard Agility classes will return soon!

The Kids and Dogs Workshop is designed to help you teach your dog and your children to play Text Box:

happily and safely together. The workshop includes teaching appropriate play, managing child/dog interaction, granting your child leadership status in the 'pack', and safety issues.

You've seen it on Pet Star and YouTube, you've read about it in local newspapers and national magazines. What is Canine Musical Freestyle all about?  Freestyle is the newest canine sport, and is rapidly gaining world-wide popularity. It is obedience and tricks set to music, and often called Dancing With Your Dog, but don't let that scare you! Dancing ability is not a requirement for you or your dog. This sport highlights the dog/human partnership - it teaches dogs to respond to cues even in a highly distracting environment, and owners learn advanced training techniques that can be applied to any behavior.

NOTE: In-home training is available in Enumclaw, Buckley, Bonney Lake.  Additional fees may apply for training visits outside the posted areas.

Behavior Modification

The Behavior Modification Program is useful for more serious problems such as aggression, resource guarding, fighting household dogs, separation anxiety, and reactive or fearful dogs.

This 2-visit program consists of an initial 90-minute session in your home, followed by a second 60-minute visit 1 to 3 weeks later.  Prior to the first visit, you will be asked to fill out and return a Behavior History Form so that a treatment plan can be formulated.   Cost for this 2-session program is $175, payable on or before the first visit.

NOTE: Additional fees may apply for out-of-area visits.

For other Behavior Modification options, or for a behavior professional outside the East Pierce/South King County area, please visit Companion Animal Behavior Connection.
